Katryna's Speech

Hello my name is Katryna Hennell and I am 12 years old. Brian Hennell is my Pops ( you may say Grand-dad )

I am proud to say I intend today and everyday to support my Pops and Grandma. We have all just watched a fantastic film made here at their home which highlights how well pops is living with dementia. You can see the DVDs because there are links on this site.

He is living a proud and happy life with his family surrounding him. We don’t know what the future holds for Pops but that is true for each one of us. We simply cannot see into the future but we know that dementia can develop and become hard to handle.
I intend to support Pops all the way, because we have 1 great life and we should all live it well with dementia or not.

I send my congratulations to those who made the films. I think it is an important subject. I like the way they have chosen to spread the message, that walking in the country side can help living well with dementia.
